Investigations are continuing this morning into yesterday evening’s fire at The Oaks on the Boyle Road in Frenchpark in which a man died.
Emergency service were alerted shortly after 7.15pm with unconfirmed reports that an explosion was heard in the area at the time.
Boyle and Ballaghaderren fire services attended along with Gardai and ambulance service personnel.
The body of a man was subsequently recovered from the property and brought to UCHG where a post mortem will be carried out.
The scene remained sealed off overnight and investigations into the cause of the blaze are continuing this morning.
