Heritage projects receive funding

A number of heritage projects in the general Boyle area are among 340 projects nationwide that will share €2m funding as part of the Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2016.

Moylurg House in Croghan receives €5,842 towards the cost of stabilisation of masonry.

St Beaidh’s Church, Ardcarne receives €4,605 towards conservation and internal repairs.

Knockranny House, Keadue receives €2,850 towards conservation work.

Boyle Courthouse receives €4,385 towards roof repair and insulation.

The funding allows for the conservation and repair of heritage projects across the country.

It is hoped the €2m allocated will leverage an additional €8m in private sector funding to stimulate labour intensive projects nationwide.
