It is understood that all 125 jobs are secure at the Vention Medical facility in Boyle following the sale of the groups advanced technologies division (Vention AT)
Nordson Corporation announced on Monday that it has entered agreement to acquire the advanced technologies business of Vention Medical.
Headquartered in Salem, New Hampshire, Vention AT reported sales of $150 million and EBITDA of $48 million for the trailing twelve months ended January 31, 2017
The deal is understood to have cost an estimated $705 million which will be financed through cash and debt.
Vention AT employs approximately 775 people internationally and Vention AT will operate as part of Nordson’s advanced technology systems segment.
Vention Medical consists of the Advanced Technologies (Vention AT) business and a separate Device Manufacturing Services (Vention DMS) business
Vention Medical has operations in Costs Rica, Israel, Puerto Rico, eight locations in the USA and in Ireland (Boyle)
A spokesperson for the company in Boyle told Boyletoday.com that they are “excited to join Nordson and we believe this will be a positive for the team in Ireland”.
