‘Learning in the Community’ series returns this autumn

TUS, in conjunction with the Spool Factory in Boyle and a number of Learning Gate Hubs nationwide, is delighted to introduce the Learning in the Community Series, a new initiative designed to make learning accessible, engaging, and relevant — right in the heart of local communities across Ireland.

There are four non-accredited programmes available offering topics in domains that from discussions, those living in regional Ireland have identified as areas that they would like to access locally in a flexible online manner.

The programmes are listed below, each is 9-weeks in duration and will be delivered entirely online, with one live evening session per week, commencing at 7pm and running to 9pm, making it easy for people to participate no matter where they are. It’s an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to learn something new, explore fresh ideas, or connect with others through shared knowledge.

The fee for each programme is €180 and all lectures are delivered via Zoom and can be accessed via ones phone, laptop and or PC. All lectures will be recorded and made available to learners should they miss a class.

To inform prospective learners, TUS will host an Online Open Evening for all interested in the ‘Learning in the Community Series’ on Wednesday 27th August at 8pm. To join simply go to Zoom at https://tus-ie.zoom.us and enter meeting ID: 81139168021.
