Gardai in Ballymote along with the Health and Safety Authority are investigating the death of a man in a landslide on Kilronan Mountain near Ballyfarnon last evening.
It is understood the 37 year old married man from Rossinver and a colleague were working with a machine on a mountainside when there was slippage of land at around 6:30pm yesterday.
A search and rescue operation was launched in difficult terrain and weather conditions and the man’s body was recovered in the early hours of this morning.
