Meeting tonight on local waters

A public meeting will take place in Boyle on Tuesday June 13th to discuss local waters in the context of the draft River Basin Management Plan for Ireland 2018 – 2021.

The meeting, which will be held in Lough Key Forest Park take s place at 7.30pm and  is one in a series to be held over the coming weeks in locations right across the country.

At these meetings, discussions will include topics such as heritage, water quality, angling, biodiversity, agriculture, recreational use, tourism etc.

This new approach will allow local communities have a greater say in the management of our natural waters, now and into the future.

Information on the latest draft national plan will also be presented, with details on how you can have a say and input into the final plan.
