Michael’s fundraising cycle for hospital

Boyle man and UCD student Michael Lavin from Ballymore will cycle 208k from Dublin to Galway this weekend to raise funds for Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

The hospital is a familiar place to Michael and his family who travelled numerous times to the facility to visit Michael’s sister who was a patient there many years ago.

Speaking to Boyletoday.com about the cycle Michael said “I think it will be a challenging cycle but hopefully worth it – I used to visit my sister when she was a patient in Crumlin and know how much they need all the funding they can get.”

The cyclists depart from Liffey Valley to Athlone on Friday the 26th.

On Saturday the 27th they leave Athlone and cycle to Galway.

Then on Sunday the cyclists get a well deserved rest on a bus back to Dublin.

All cyclists must raise a minimum of €450 to participate.
