New multi use games area opens in Pleasure Grounds

Boyle Town Team is delighted to announce the completion of the new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) in the Pleasure Grounds, right in the heart of the town.
This fantastic new amenity provides top-class recreational facilities for people of all ages and ability levels. The installation includes:
- 4 competition-grade basketball hoops with acrylic backboards and spring-loading.
- Integrated soccer goals.
- A FIBA-approved anti slip polypropylene playing surface with UV inhibitors to reduce colour fade and prolong quality.
- The basketball hoops are also height-adjustable to support inclusive access for all users. Adjustment mechanisms will be securely managed by appropriate local groups to ensure safety and fair usage.
Boyle Town Team extend their sincere thanks to Wojciech & his team at OMW Supplies for their professionalism and rapid installation, completing the project in just one week.
A special word of thanks also to Michelle O’Reilly and Colm Kelly of Roscommon County Council for their support throughout the project.
This project was funded under the CLÁR programme, secured through the efforts of Boyle Town Team volunteer Áine Murphy, who also led the project with great commitment, ably supported by another Town Team member Aoife Roddy.
Chairman of Boyle Town Team Ciaran Sheerin thanked Áine, Aoife and all volunteers who give their time so generously across the many community groups in Boyle.
