It has been confirmed to Boyletoday.com that a new postmaster has been appointed for Boyle Post Office with the facility opening on February 3rd 2026 in the Supervalu Shopping Centre.
According to An Post: “Mr. Paul Kelly (Junior) of Kelly’s Supervalu in Boyle has accepted An Post’s offer to run the post office”.
“An Post had requested expression of interest from anyone interested in taking up the partnership opportunity to run the post office in Boyle. The application from Paul Kelly provided the opportunity of moving the office to a busy retail location, with good parking and access and providing a modern purpose fitted office for customers”.
“Mr. Kelly has proposed a vacant retail unit inside Kelly’s Supervalu, located centrally at Elphin Street, 450m from the current post office”.
The spokesperson for An Post told Boyletoday.com that: “The expression of interest for the new partnership was advertised over a number of weeks on https://www.anpost.com/Working-with-An-Post/Retail-Opportunities/Current-Opportunities along with our retail team canvassing the local area to attract further interest. Vacancies were also advertised in offices in the surrounding area. There was strong interest in the Boyle vacancy”
