The Nordson Corporation, parent company of Boyle’s largest employer – Nordson Medical – has acquired Clada Medical Devices, a Galway based design and development operation primarily focused on balloons and balloon catheters.
Clada will become part of the Nordson Medical product line within Nordson’s Advanced Technology Systems segment. This acquisition builds on the company’s strategic objective to grow Nordson’s precision applications within the minimally invasive medical device market.
Nordson Medical currently employ approximately 165 people in their facility at Abbeytown in Boyle.
They also have facilities in Galway, Israel, Mexico and numerous operations in the United States.
The company is a global expert in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex medical devices and component technologies and serve interventional, surgical, and specialized markets as the engine of innovations that save or enhance patients’ lives.
