Exclusive: Boyletoday.com can exclusively reveal that plans are in place to roof a portion of Boyle Abbey and hand it over to a local group of businessmen for rental.
Documents seen by this website state that discussions have been ongoing now for a number of months between representatives from state agencies and a group of local businessmen with a view to the group taking over the running of the Abbey
Ownership of most of the Abbey will transfer to the local consortium who will include a section of the historic building for private accommodation.
It is not known what type of accommodation the Abbey will provide but one of the organisations who are party to the discussions have said all avenues are being looked including high end apartments.
When contacted for comment one representative said ” Perhaps it is best to look at today’s date before taking this story to seriously!!!”
