Power outages as thunderstorms hit the area

A number of power outages have been reported on Tuesday evening as thunder, lightening and heavy rain affected all of County Roscommon.

32 homes in the Boyle area (Corrigeenroe) are without power since 17.32 with an estimated restore time of 21.15. (power may be restored before this time)

101 customers in the Carrick area (Cootehall) are without power since 17.55 with an estimated restore time of 21.30 (power may be restored before this time)

595 customers in the Gurteen area are without power since 17.30 with an estimated restore time of 21.15 (power may be restored before this time)

53 customers in the Arigna area are without power since 17.49 with an estimated restore time of 21.55 (power may be restored before this time)

35 customers in the Boyle area (Carrick Road, Erris) are without power since 18.07 with an estimated restore time of 21.45 (power may be restored before this time)

Met Eireann had issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning on Tuesday for all of Connacht, Cavan, Donegal, Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath

Localised slow-moving showers with heavy downpours, thunderstorms and the chance of hail with possible impact of localised spot flooding and difficult travel conditions
