Preparations continue for filming of ’13 Hours’ in Boyle

Hill Sixteen Features in association with RTE will be shooting a feature length film called 13 HOURS in Boyle from June 28th to July 10th, written and directed by Ciaran Creagh.

In a statement to Boyletoday.com, Executive Producer Ferdia Doherty said “We are very excited about filming in this beautiful part of the world and with the full support of Roscommon County Council, local associations, and of course the great people of Boyle”.

“We are grateful to all involved”.

“We will have a full crew on hand and some fantastic Irish Actors. You will see some 80’s type vehicles on the road and many walkey talkies around the place. We will be employing as much local talent as possible on the production side and utilizing the bounty of B&B and local hotels for our crew and talent. We will also need some extras and would love for anyone who would like to be involved toemail us with their name, age, height to [email protected]

“Because this is a low budget feature we will not be able to pay them but we will be able to supply cups of coffee and tea and maybe a few biscuits”.

“Our plan is for the least amount of disruption to the local community as we film. Our crew are very professional and well versed in managing these types of shoots. We look forward to being in your wonderful town for about 2 weeks”.
