It is believed that a crowd of over 200 people staged a protest in Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday at a regional auction held in the Bush Hotel by a Castlerea based Estate Agent.
The protest was against the sale of lands in Croghan and Drumlion.
A number of other properties were for sale at the auction which were not the subject of the protest.
As a result of the disruption, it is understood the auction was abandoned.
