Final preparations are taking place today for the “Road to Croker” which will be held this evening Friday 30th July in St. Joseph’s Hall in Boyle.
Organised by Boyle GAA club, a number of tickets for this exciting event will be available on the door.
Billed as ‘an evening with GAA decision makers, change makers and trouble makers’, the night will feature plenty of lively discussion from a host of well-known GAA names from past and present.
Sunday Game pundits Joe Brolly and Martin Carney, two-time All-Ireland winning manager John O’Mahony, legendary Roscommon goalkeeper Shane Curran, Connacht GAA secretary John Prenty, former Galway footballer and Dublin selector Brian Talty and Collie Moran, former Dublin footballer and columnist with The Irish Sun. Amongst the topics up for discussion, the panel will give their views on t(and possibly heated) debate. Of course, Roscommon’s upcoming Connacht final appearance will also be featured.
Master of Ceremonies on the night will be Boyle senior manager Tomás Morley and there will also be a cameo from JOE’s own Conor’s Sketches, who has prepared a special sketch for the event; those in attendance can expect these kinds of antics from Ger Loughnane, Joe Brolly and company on the night.
Admission for the event is €10, while there will be a raffle on the night for an All-Ireland Football Final weekend in Dublin, including two tickets to the final itself. A donation from the proceeds will be made to the Irish Kidney Association.
Doors open at 7.45pm, with ‘throw-in’ scheduled for 8.30pm.
