Storm Bram to bring damaging winds and disruption today

Storm Bram is due to make landfall in Ireland this morning, hitting the south coast first before moving up along the country.

County Roscommon will come under a Status Orange  severe wind warning from 10am until 9pm.

The worst of the storm is due in this area between 12 noon and 6pm when power outages, fallen trees and infrastructural damage is likely.

A Status Orange warning is issued for “Infrequent and dangerous weather conditions which may pose a threat to life and property”.
