9am: Diversions are in place this morning on the Boyle to Carrick on Shannon N4 following a multi vehicle traffic collision.
It is understood a truck and a number of cars collided near the Golf Club at Woodbrook shortly after 8.30am resulting in the road being closed in both directions.
Road conditions in the area were reported as “treacherous” at the time.
The injuries to those involved is unknown.
Emergency services are in attendance and diversions are in place.
It is also reported that the Air Ambulance service is at the scene.
Gardai have advised that the diversions are on untreated roads and motorists are requested to drive with extreme caution.
