Met Eireann has issued another Status Orange wind warning as Storm Eleanor is due to hit Ireland on Tuesday January 2nd.

The storm will quickly move across the country Tuesday evening and night.

West to southwest winds of mean speeds 65 to 80 km/h, gusting to 110 to 130 km/h, with damaging gusts are expected.

Very high seas along Atlantic coasts, with a risk of coastal flooding also.

The warning is valid from Tuesday 02 January 2018 17:00 to Tuesday 02 January 2018 22:00
