TV documentaries edited by Boyle woman to air this week

The first of a number of RTE documentaries edited by local woman Grainne Creighton will go to air this week.

‘Busted’ is is a new three-part documentary series that brings viewers inside some of the state’s most dramatic and high-profile anti-drug operations and uncovers the stories behind some of the most significant drug seizures in the world, which unfolded along Ireland’s coastline and in communities across the country.

It will go to air on Monday night at 9.25pm on RTE 1.

On Wednesday another of Grainne’s edits – “Ireland’s Population Crash” will be broadcast on RTE 1 at 9.35pm. This two part documentary with Miriam O’Callaghan explores the hidden forces behind collapsing birth rates and shifting demographics that are quietly transforming Ireland.

Grainne is making a name for herself in film and documentary editing both in Ireland and the UK. Based in London, Gráinne is a professional video editor with over ten years experience. With a fine art background, she started making short films while studying a Masters in Film Editing in Goldsmiths University London. Since then, she has worked on a large variety of projects, including commercial, short film and documentary.

Grainne is daughter of well known Boyle publican’s Eddie and Sylvia Creighton who run the highly regarded ‘Italian Warehouse’ on Bridge Street in the town.
