Minister Calleary visits Boyle and surrounding area today

Minister for Rural and Community Development and Social Protection Dara Calleary will pay his first official visit to Boyle today Thursday June 5th.

The Minister’s will initially visit Doon Shore to officially open the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme funded ‘Accessible Kayak Launch’ system of which there are a number now installed around Lough Key.

He will then travel into Boyle to see the public realm work that has recently been carried out on Bridge Street and Shop Street and An Rioga Car Park. This project was funded under the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund.

The Minister will also visit the site of the soon to commence new Town Library before walking over to King House to view the variety of energy efficient measures undertaken in the building.

Prior to his visit to Boyle, Minister Calleary will visit Arigna and Cootehall and after leaving Boyle he will travel to Roscommon, Athleague and Monksland.
