Train services resume on Dublin – Sligo rail line

There was major disruption earlier this morning (Wednesday) on the Dublin Sligo rail line that serves Boyle with trains suspended for a time between Sligo and Kilcock due to a signaling issue.
Irish Rail announced at 08.19 that “Services have resumed between Sligo/Kilcock with the 06.40 Sligo/Connolly operating 83 minutes behind schedule”.
“The next service from Connolly/Sligo will be the 09.05. Services on the Sligo/Connolly route will experience delays as a result”
Following a customer enquiry earlier this morning when services were suspended, Irish Rail said on “X”,: “Unfortunately there are no resources available to facilitate bus transfer”.
- The 09.05 service from Sligo has departed 7 minutes behind schedule.
- The 09.05 service from Connolly to Sligo is cancelled.
