50/50 Draw
Last Friday’s winner of the Boyle Celtic 50/50 draw was Norah Kilroy, who won €1651. Congratulations Norah and happy spending! Tickets are on sale now for next Friday’s draw from all the usual outlets and online.
Results
Our under 13 boys defeated Merville United. The Goals came from: Renzo (2), Conor K, Séan, AJ and Nathan (1 each). A fantastic team display from start to finish. Everyone worked hard, supported each other, and played some brilliant football. A huge thank you also to Tracey and Aisling from “Kids Rule After School” for supplying the lads with the new jerseys. They certainly provided a great lift in spirits and the team looked the part out there– thank you so much for your generosity and support!
Our under 12 girls were defeated by Arrow Harps.
Our under 16 girls were defeated by Yeats United.
Our under 17 boys were defeated by Arrow Harps.
Well done to our under 11 Boys who played two very competitive games on Sunday morning against Melview (Longford) and Newtownforbes in Celtic Park.
Our Downes Construction sponsored women’s team were at their scintillating best on Friday night as they picked up another win. The team was hungry for goals and scored nine of them in what was overall, a brilliant team performance. On the scoresheet were: Annie O’Connor (3), Emma Duggan (2), S. Takahara, E. Callaghan, S. O’Donohoe, E. Mullen (1 each).
Reserves progress in RDFL Cup
Our Roberto’s/ Greenrock sponsored men’s reserves team booked their spot in the next round of the Joe’s Bar RDFL Challenge Cup on Saturday evening. A 3-2 victory over Moylough ’79 at Celtic Park ensured progression. Alfonso Barrios scored twice while Darragh Hensey netted a second half penalty for Celtic. All at Boyle Celtic would like to wish the Moylough player who suffered a serious injury all the best with his recovery. Team: S. Conlon, C. Calpin, L. Casey, S. Higgins, J. Sharkey, S. Duarte, A.
