LADY CAPTAINS DAY – Lady Captain Michelle Quinn’s weekend of events was a great success starting with a well attended Scramble on the Friday, including a number of debutants. Well done especially to John Carty for getting a prize in his first adult competition.
On Saturday there was a competition for the Lady Beginners/Improvers with Valerie O’Donohoe and Rachel Healy taking 1st and 2nd place respectively.
The main event was of course Lady Captains Day itself. The scoring was unusually strong considering the unseasonably windy conditions. The presentation of prizes was helped in the clubhouse immediately following the Lady Captains Dinner. Michelle thanked all who contributed to the success of her weekend and those whoa have contributed to the club more generally throughout the year. Nora Pat Stewart was the winner of this years Lady Captains Prize.

OPEN WEEK – Our annual Open Week takes place from the 6th -10th of July with competitions on everyday.Monday 6th – Ladies and Gents 9 Hole Stroke competitions. Tuesday 7th Ladies Gala Day 18 Hole Stableford and also a Gents 9 Hole Stableford. Wednesday 8th 3 Person Rumble and Ladies and Gents 9 Hole Stablefords. Thursday Men’s Open Week Cup 18 Hole Stroke and Ladies 9 Hole Stableford. Friday 10th will play host to a 9 Hole Scramble, draw at 5, shotgun start 5.30, with BBQ in clubhouse after and presentation of prizes.
