A mixed order for the local takeaway business

Lovers of takeaway food in Boyle received good and bad news over the last few days.

Tonni’s Takeaway on Elphin Street temporarily closed it’s doors on Sunday night “due to the lack of ability of customers keeping social distance in the shop”.

In a Facebook post the popular takeaway said “, we are sad to say we won’t be opening today and will be remaining shut for the next 2 weeks. Thank you for your understanding. Stay safe and we look forward to serving you soon. From all the staff in Tonnis.”

On Monday the New Thai Chi Court Chinese restaurant announced that they were reopening with the following message:

We are back to our opening hours: 5pm-11pm. Closed Tuesdays.Takeaway and Delivery ONLY.
No out of town delivery.
Only delivery to Boyle town within 2 KM

Card Payment over the phone please

On arrival, wait in your car. We’ll call you when your order is ready to collect.

Don not wait outside the restaurant

Driver will ring/knock & your delivery order will be left on your doorstep.

Please abide by 2 meter social distancing. Instructions in restaurant

Our staff will wear masks to protect our customers and ourselves.

Please cooperate and stay safe.
