Gardai are investigating an armed raid on the Bank of Ireland branch in Strokestown on Friday afternoon.
Four men armed with a handgun and armed bars entered the premises at approximately 2.30pm.
They escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash in a car with a fifth man driving.
The raiders escaped in the direction of Elphin St and then turned right towards Kilmore in a dark Audi A6 with English registration plates and blacked out windows.
A major Garda operation immediately got underway and is ongoing
