Boyle GAA club weekly update

The McGovern Directional Drilling sponsored senior team had their third championship outing Sunday against neighbors Western Gaels in Frenchpark. It was a high scoring game with the lead being traded on a number of occasions. Boyle were down by 6 points at half time and dispute a sending off early in the second half the lads dug deep to finish the match level at 3.16 a piece. Well done to all involved.

Boyle GAA extends best wishes to Club President, Barry Feely and look forward to seeing him at Club fixtures in the near future.

The Club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the Hever family on the untimely passing of Ronan.  May he Rest in Peace

Congratulations to Caoileann Costelloe, grandson of Club stalwart , Michael Costelloe and a member of the St Brigids Club in Dublin who presented the match ball to the referee in Croke Park on Sunday.

There are still a small number of seats left on the Club Rossie bus to the National Ploughing Championship in Carlow on Wednesday 18th September. We need to finalise numbers by the coming weekend as we need to purchase admission tickets to the Ploughing. Those wishing to travel should contact Martin Dolan (086 2413529) or Barry Lowe (086 8545492) immediately. We will be providing details of departure time etc to all who have registered to travel as soon as possible.

Finally, a date for your diary; time to celebrate another fantastic year for Boyle GAA dinner dance on Saturday December 14th in Kilronan Castle, more details to follow.
