MENS FIXTURES – The King Harmon Qualifying competitions take place over the coming weekends for the men with 16 people qualifying for the matchplay rounds afterwards. Please note the course is not available to the men on Saturday the 7th of October as Boyle is hosting the Roscommon Cup for the Ladies, with representatives coming from all the other clubs in the county.
The Mens Thursday Competitions have concluded and will recommence next April.
RESULTS – The Committee Cup was played on the weekend the of the 23rd and 24th as an 18 hole stroke play and was the final event of the series of Golfer of the Year competitions. Congratulations to 2 men in particular, Dermot Hayden who was this years Committee Cup winner, marking his first significant win in the club, and congratulations also to Gabriel Lavin who claimed the title of Golfer of the Year, having topped the order of merit for the year.
COMMITTEE CUP – 1st Dermot Hayden 36 points, 2nd Pat Conroy 35, 3rd Michael McHale 35.
MENS CAPTAINS OUTING – Liam Whyte has organised the annual Captains Outing for the men of the club for the weekend of November 11th and 12th, with Saturdays golf taking place in Esker Hills Golf Club just outside Tullamore. The golf on Sunday will be in Mount Temple Golf Club near Moate. Food in the clubhouses both days. Players are welcome to play in one or both of the competitions, prizes for both days. For those wishing to stay over, accommodation is the individuals responsibility,most bookings to date have been for the Tullamore Court Hotel.
