MENS FIXTURES – The men’s competition next Sunday, April 28th, will be the “Voucher” , which is always our most monetarily valuable prize as the winner gets a voucher for a free single membership for the year. Conditions are expected to be very good with a full week of dry weather anticipated in the interim. The greens on the course are already in excellent shape and all fairways and rough should be in great condition by the 28th. To be eligible to win this prize your membership must be “in good standing” i.e paid in full if paying annually or direct debits fully up to date if paying by this method.
BEGINNER LADIES AND CHILDRENS LESSONS – The above groups recommenced last week, all involved with the club were delighted to see some new faces trying their hand at the game. Members are advised that a ladies beginner group will be on the course every Wednesday for the next 7 weeks between 17.30 and 19.30 and to make the necessary allowances. The children’s golf programme will be on every Saturday between 10.30-11.30 and the 8th and 9th holes will be closed for this hour, members are asked to take this in to consideration if they are planning to play on Saturday mornings.
MENS THURSDAYS COMPETITIONS – The men’s Thursday competitions have now recommenced and will be played as a 9 hole competition for the next few weeks and will extend to a 12 hole in a few weeks when light allows ( the intention is that a competitor should be able to tee off at 6pm and still comfortably complete their round).
CASHLESS – This is just a reminder that the club now has credit card facilities for competition entries, membership payments and bar purchases. If paying for a competition, please print a receipt and write your name on it before putting it in an envelope in the box.
MEMBERSHIP FEES – Membership fees are now due. A full list of the fees and payment arrangements are available on boylegolfclub.com.
If paying by bank transfer, our IBAN is IE59 BOFI 905328 22439700 , please put your name in the narrative so we know who has paid.
Other methods of paying include – posting or dropping in a cheque to the office of Lorcan Egan, Elphin Street, Boyle ( made payable to Boyle Golf Club) or making use of the credit card machine in the clubhouse itself – if using this method, please write your name on the back of the receipt from the machine and put in an envelope in the “scorecard box” in the front hall.
