Boyle youths in Enterprise Finals

Two Boyle youths are making final preparations this weekend for their appearance in the National Student Enterprise Finals in Croke Park next Wednesday.

Young entrepreneurs and Elphin Community College students Jake Kennedy and Jack Murphy, who are both aged 16 will represent Co. Roscommon in the final with their business Curlew Mountain Forge.

They will exhibit in the Senior Category, under the guidance of their teacher, Ms.Bernadette Brooks.

The Boyle lads won the Roscommon County Final of the Student Enterprise Programme last March.

the event was organised by Roscommon Local Enterprise Office.

Their offering is handmade bespoke, unique and functional metalwork such as practical household implements and jewellery, eg fire pokers, bottle openers, napkin rings, hand forged hooks in copper and steel as well as copper bracelets, earrings and necklaces.

They are wished success in the final by all their friends in Boyle.
