Canon Peadar Lavin acknowledgement

The family of Canon Peadar Lavin would like to extend their sincere thanks for the lovely tributes to Fr Peadar on his final journey.

They would like to thank Fr Cathal and Fr Brendan for blessing the hearse, everyone who lined the route from Knockcroghery through Boyle, Knockvicar, Keadue, Ballyfarnon, Geevagh and Kilmactranny.

They thank everyone who flew St Ronan’s and Roscommon flags in his honour in Keadue Arigna and Ballyfarnon, thank you to the people who setup the little altar outside his homeplace, escorted him through Ballyfarnon, and said a little prayer for him that day.

Every single gesture is appreciated and the day was as perfect as it could possibly have been under the circumstances.

The family were overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of everyone who came together, but apart, to show just how much he was thought of.

Coming back to Ballyfarnon and stopping at the house was very emotional for everyone but was a lovely experience too.

So thank you again to each and every one of you.
