Boyle Fire and Rescue Service will distribute fire safety information and provide demonstrations at the Fire Station on Thursday from 7-9pm.
The night is part of Fire Safety week with the Fire Service Department of Roscommon County Council promoting fire safety in the home this week as part of the National Fire Safety week.
The theme this year is “Protecting Those Most at Risk from Fire” and by use of the acronym “STOP” which if followed will help people stop fires starting and thereby reduce the number of casualties and fatalities as a result of fire.
Remember S is for smoke alarms, T is for testing smoke alarms, O is for obvious dangers and P is for plan and protect your escape route.
The Fire Service will be distributing fire safety information and providing demonstrations in each of its Fire Stations which are located in Ballaghaderreen, Boyle, Castlerea, Elphin, Roscommon Town & Strokestown on Thursday evening the 9th October between 7pm and 9pm.
These events are open to the public to attend.
