Drumanilra move forward with development plans

The three Drumanilra developments planned for Boyle, Strandhill and Carrick on Shannon are progressing.

Speaking to Boyletoday.com, the promoters said:” We have finally started work on our organic cafe and farm shop at the former KFC in Carrick-on-Shannon.  After a two-year delay due to COVID, we are aiming for an Autumn opening of Ireland’s first organic, drive-thru cafe!”

“The former Draft House pub in Strandhill will also be getting a makeover in the next few months.   Plus, we still have plans for our farm shop in Boyle (main photograph).  We hope to have some news on this soon”.

“All our premises will serve organic burgers, salads, sandwiches, pies and quiches made with ingredients grown and produced on our own Drumanilra Organic Farm just outside Boyle, and by other like-minded producers from around the area.  We will have an in-house bakery to produce organic breads, pies and sweet things.  We’ll have a specialist butchery for preparing our own farmed Pedigree Dexter beef, grass-fed lamb, and out-door reared pork”.
“We are on the hunt for people to help us make it all happen.  If you have an interest in sustainable food, farming and finding ways to live more gently on the planet, and if you have experience in farming, commercial gardening, HR, accounting, marketing, restaurant management, craft butchery, or if you are a chef with a passion for cooking with the best local ingredients around, we’d love to hear from you”.
“We will be posting job vacancies on our website over the next week or two. Or you can get in touch and tell us a bit about yourself at [email protected]
