Dublin Sligo rail numbers increase

There was an increase of 4.1% in passenger numbers on the Dublin- Sligo rail line that serves Boyle in 2012, bringing the number to 1.2m.

That’s according to a report this morning which states that there was a total of 37.6m journeys on all intercity, Dart and commuter¬†routes last year.

Strongest growth was recorded on the Dublin to Galway route, up 6.4 per cent to 1.1 million journeys. Dublin to Drogheda was the fastest-growing commuter route in the greater Dublin area, up 3.4 per cent to just under six million journeys.
