Dublin Sligo rail numbers increase

There was an increase of 4.1% in passenger numbers on the Dublin- Sligo rail line that serves Boyle in 2012, bringing the number to 1.2m.

That’s according to a report this morning which states that there was a total of 37.6m journeys on all intercity, Dart and commuter routes last year.

Strongest growth was recorded on the Dublin to Galway route, up 6.4 per cent to 1.1 million journeys. Dublin to Drogheda was the fastest-growing commuter route in the greater Dublin area, up 3.4 per cent to just under six million journeys.
