The Health and Safety Authority has confirmed that a man in his forties has died this morning in a workplace incident in Boyle.
The incident happened at Assylinn, Mocmoyne just off the main Boyle to Ballymote/Gurteen road in the town.
Fire Brigade and HSE ambulance personnel along with Gardai attended the scene with the L1022 closed for a period of time.
The HSA has said a full investigation will now take place into the man’s death.
The man’s body was removed form the scene to the mortuary at Roscommon Hospital and a post mortem will be carried out in due course.
Earlier, Boyletoday.com had contacted the Garda Press Office and were informed: “As this incident is ongoing, there is no further information at this time”.
