€200,000 drugs find in Cloonloo

Three people are due to appear before Donegal district court on Monday morning following the seizure of drugs, with an estimated street value of approximately €200,000, in the Cloonloo area of County Sligo on Saturday afternoon.

The Sligo/Leitrim Divisional Drugs Unit along with members from the Western Region and Ballymote District carried out the search of a house in Cloonloo.

During the search, an elaborate cannabis cultivation operation was uncovered, containing around 250 cannabis plants as well as processed cannabis herb.

The total estimated street value of the cannabis discovered is in excess of €200,000.

Three people were arrested at the scene – a male in his twenties and a male and female in their thirties.

All three were detained at Ballymote Garda Station.
