Energy upgrade for Boyle Fire Station

Boyle Fire Station is one of a number of public buildings around the country to benefit under the Better Energy Communities Scheme announced by Minister Denis Naughten.

The scheme will provide funding for an energy efficient upgrade to the station.

No other application from Boyle has been named in the list of successful applications under the scheme.

€2m has been allocated in total to projects in County Roscommon from an overall national allocation of €26m.

Roscommon, Castlerea and Ballaghaderreen Fire Stations were also successful.

An Chistin in Castlerea, St John’s Parish Hall, Castlerea Mart, Monksland Civic Centre and Lisacul Community Centre were the other public and community buildings who will get an energy upgrade
