Fianna Fail leader visits Boyle

The Fianna Fail party leader, Michael Martin, paid a whistle stop visit to Boyle on Thursday afternoon.

Accompanied by Deputy Eugene Murphy and Councillors John Cummins and Rachel Dorothy, Mr Martin started his brief visit in Supervalu Shopping Centre before making his way down down, stopping off in various businesses along the way.

The Corkman had a word for everyone and listen attentively to the concerns of those he met along the way.

There was a light hearted moment in the Roma Cafe in the Supervalu Centre when Mr Martin, who stands over six feet tall was greeted by a customer who measured six foot seven!

The visit to the county commenced on Wednesday evening in Monksland with Roscommon, Strokestown, Boyle, Castlerea and Ballaghaderreen all covered by 8pm Thursday night.
