Garda warning following theft from car

Gardai are advising people to be vigilant when leaving valuables in unattended cars.

It follows the theft of approximately €300 worth of items from a parked car in Lough Key Forest Park last weekend.

On returning from a walk in the Park at approximately 5pm on Sunday, the owners of the car found the theft had taken place and a handbag containing items valued at €300 was missing.

Gardai are advising people to not leave items on show in unattended cars and to ensure they are hidden before they reach their destination and not as they leave the vehicle.

If you noticed any suspicious activity last Sunday in Lough Key Forest Park please contact Boyle Gardai on 071 9664620
