The holiday plans for many including a number from Boyle and Co. Roscommon has been thrown into chaos after a holiday company advised passengers of the cancellation of their charter flights from Ireland West Airport Knock to Lanzarote until November 1st.
Those booked to travel on the Sunway chartered flights have been told they can travel on the service from Dublin or Cork, they can choose an alternative location or receive a refund.
Sunway Holidays have apologised for the inconvenience which has resulted from the company that they use to charter the flights could no longer honour it’s contract to operate the flight schedule.
Sunway passengers from Shannon have also been affected.
