King House in Boyle is open Bank Holiday Monday where you can research the history of the Kings of Connacht and see the Connaught Rangers exhibit.
The regimental drum bears the elephant and sphinx insignias bestowed on the Rangers for the time they spent in both India and Egypt.
It also features the numerous military engagements the regiment was involved in throughout its lifetime.
