The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Cooke Mallon (née Byrne), Killaraght, Boyle, Co. Sligo and formerly of Kildare and Stafford U.K.
-July 4th 2023-
Peacefully, in her 91st year in the care of the staff and nurses in Drumderrig House Nursing Home, Boyle.
Predeceased by her husbands Billy Cooke and Paddy Mallon and her sons Nicolas Cooke (England) and James Cooke (Boyle).
Betty is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Mary, Theresa, Debby and Kevin (England), brothers Seán and Noel, sisters Phyllis, Joan, Ros, and Theresa, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Mark Congalton (England) and Terry Clark (England), daughters-in-law Elizabeth Cooke (Boyle), Avril Cooke (England) and Teresa Mallon (England), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
May Betty’s Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.
Betty will repose at Mahon’s Funeral Home, Boyle, on Wednesday (July 5th) from 6pm until 7pm with removal to St. Attracta’s Church, Killaraght, for prayers at 7.30pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday at 11am with burial afterwards in Killaraght Old Cemetery.
