The death has occurred of Rita Simon, (née Cunningham) Smutternagh, Knockvicar, Boyle, Co. Roscommon.
October 19th 2023, peacefully, in her 100th year, surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of the staff at Abbey Haven Nursing Home, Boyle.
Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Leo and daughter Nuala. Rita will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Carmel (Nairn) sons Joe, Noel, Frankie, Michael and Raymond, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Shivnan’s Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon on Friday evening (October 20th) from 6p.m. until 8p.m. Removal to St. Teresa’s Church, Corrigreenroe, on Saturday morning to arrive for celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Kileenan Cemetery, Knockvicar.
Anyone wishing to attend and are now unable to do so, may leave messages of condolence. The family would also like to thank you for your sympathy, support and understanding at this very difficult time.
