Lough Key Park in awards on Friday

Louise Fitzpatrick, General Manager of Lough Key Forest & Activity Park in Boyle recently received the wonderful news that the Centre has been shortlisted in the category for the ‘Best Leisure Tourism Innovation County’ in the 2017 Irish Tourism Industry Awards.

The Awards give recognition to and promote people, companies and organisations – overseas and at home – that have made significant contributions to developing, marketing, selling and delivering improved visitor experiences in Ireland and to increasing the number of visitors from overseas.

In particular, the Irish Tourism Industry Awards aim to publicly recognise and reward excellence, provide a benchmark for best practice, encourage the continuous raising of standards, provide better visitor experiences and emphasise the value of the tourism sector.

In a statement to Boyletoday.com, Louise says that all of the team at Lough Key are delighted and very proud to make the finalist list in these prestigious awards. She also said it is also great for the town of Boyle and indeed the whole county of Roscommon to make this shortlist.

All category winners will be announced at the Gala Event and Dinner on Friday, February 3rd 2017 at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road in Dublin.

Louise goes on to say, “Lough Key Forest & Activity Park is now heading into its 10th year of operation and thankfully is going from strength to strength.”

“It is now a sustainable company reinvesting in its products every year to deliver a positive customer experience, with increasing visitor numbers annually and an expanding activity base.”

“This growth is also hugely beneficial to our local town of Boyle and surrounding areas who can all benefit from the extra footfall coming into our area and also provide employment to local people which all acts as a catalyst for prosperity.”

“When we received the news of us reaching the finalist stages of the Irish Tourism Industry awards, it was a very proud moment for us all.”

“We know the beautiful Park and unique products that we have here but to see it now recognised on a national scale is very rewarding.”

“I want to thank the judges and the ITIC for their work in enabling this awards event for recognising success and Innovation.”

“I would also like to acknowledge all the other Tourism ventures who have made the shortlist, we are in excellent company!

In conclusion Louise took the opportunity to thank all the staff and customers for all their support over the years
