Maintenance and traffic management on the N4 from today

Motorists travelling to Sligo are advised of planned maintenance and traffic management measures on the N4 between Castlebaldwin and Summerhill from Monday 14th to Thursday 17th September.
The work includes hard shoulder mobile works in both directions between Tobar Bhríde Roundabout and Summerhill Roundabout and routine maintenance at all junctions between Castlebaldwin and Summerhill.
Daytime Works (8am – 4pm)
14th September: Northbound Lane 2 closure from Collooney to Summerhill.
15th September: Southbound Lane 2 closure from Summerhill to Collooney.
16th September: Full road closure in both directions between Castlebaldwin and Collooney. Diversions in place via Old N4 L3700.
17th September: Full road closure in both directions between Castlebaldwin and Collooney. Diversions in place via Old N4 L3700.
Traffic management and diversion routes will be in place where required. Please allow extra travel time, follow all signage and drive with caution in work areas.
In addition, motorists travelling east on the N4 this week (Monday – Friday) are advised of roadworks to facilitate pavement improvement works at the Tomisky Roundabout (Longford/Leitrim County Boundary).
The work will take place Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 6.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 1.00pm
A diversion shall be in place via Dromod / Roosky for one lane of N4 traffic during the roadworks.
Motorists are asked to heed all traffic management signage that will be in place.
