A Lip Sync Fundraiser in support of the development of the Monasteraden Community Field and the upkeep of St Aiden’s Church grounds will take place on Saturday, 21st February 2026, at the Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon.
The event is being organised by Monasteraden Community Enhancement (MCE) and promises a fantastic night of music, laughter, and entertainment — in aid of bringing the new community playground in the south Sligo village to completion later this year.
Organisers are delighted to confirm that all acts have now been announced across social media. In total, 11 local acts will take to the stage, featuring participants from local GAA and soccer clubs, as well as members of local singing and drama groups. The diverse line-up showcases a wide range of talent and highlights the strong community spirit behind the fundraiser.
The judging panel is set to be a major highlight on the night. Confirmed judges include iRadio DJ Dave Duke, writer and actor Julie Sharkey, and Sligo County Councillor Paul Taylor. The event will be compered by Angelina Nugent and Michael Donoghue who will keep the audience entertained throughout the evening.
The organising committee are inviting local businesses and individuals to get involved and support the event if they have not already done so.
