N61 meeting tonight in Tulsk

A Public Consultation on the N61 constraints findings will be held this evening in Tulsk.

Roscommon County Council, with the support of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), is progressing the Planning & Design of the N61 Tulsk to Clashaganny Road Project.

The section of the N61 under consideration commences in Castleland townland north of Tulsk village and extends approx. 5.4km south to the townland of Clashaganny.

The N61 route between Roscommon and Tulsk is a busy National Secondary Route with current traffic flow in the region of 3000 – 4000 vehicles per day approx.

The existing road is substandard in terms of horizontal and vertical alignment, cross-section and sightlines.

The Constraints Findings and Route Options Public Consultation will be held on Wednesday 21st August 2019 in Tulsk Macra Hall.  Members of Roscommon National Road Regional Office will be in attendance.
