Gardai have confirmed to Boyletoday.com that a policing operation was put in place in the Boyle area on St Patricks Day.
“This included increased patrols and checkpoints to augment existing our Community policing presence”.
“Gardaí encountered a high level of compliance and those who were found not in compliance accepted Gardaí advice and became compliant”.
“A small number of fixed penalty notices were issued”.
