Our Roberto’s Takeaway/ GreenRock Convenience Store sponsored men’s reserves were due to face Roscommon United but the game was postponed due to a bereavement. Condolences to all those connected.
Our Downes Construction sponsored women’s team came out the right side of a nine-goal thriller with Glen Celtic at Celtic Park on Saturday. The win ensures the team maintain their 100% start to the RDFL Women’s Division season after two games. Bláthnaid Kilroy continued her form scoring a hat-trick along with strikes from Sinead O’Donohoe and Ciara Byrne.
Our Wynne’s Bar sponsored men’s first team continued their 100% start to the RDFL Premier Division with victory over Ballinahown on Sunday afternoon. Mick Corrigan gave Celtic the lead on 15 minutes. The lead was doubled shortly before half-time as Jake McCrann latched on to a Shane Carroll assist. Carroll got his name on the scoresheet eight minutes into the second half for Conor Calpin and the same player scored Celtic’s fifth.
