Results
Well done to the under 11 green team who played their first game in Cleveragh against Real Tubber last Sunday. They put in a great effort and played some good football.
The under 12 girls made the trip to Summerhill last Sunday afternoon to play Kilglass/ Enniscrone in the league final. The girls put in a fantastic performance. Kilglass took an early goal but Celtic fought hard to equalise with a goal from Leah O’ Donohoe. The game ended with the girls losing narrowly on penalties. Well done to both sides and played some nice football.
While our U17 boys put in a great team performance to overcome table toppers Ballisodare last Monday. Goals from Conor Cryan, Harvey Scanlon, Harry Sheerin, Oisin Carty and Ryan McPherson along with excellent defensive play from Donal McDermott and Eoin Kearney, had the Boyle lads in control throughout.
Well done to our under 11 boys, who played against Carrick Town in the John D. Flynn Memorial Blitz at Celtic Park on Sunday morning. Boyle had 4 teams and 40 players taking part. The ethos of the tournament is ‘ Let them play’, and the lads lived up to that playing some excellent football and showing great sportsmanship. Well done to Luke Callaghan, who won the Player of the Tournament award.
A big shout out to our under 12 boys’ green team. The lads played some excellent football against Merville United on Saturday to win 2-1 and reach the final. Best wishes to Johnny, who picked up an injury during the game.
Well done also to the under 8 boys, who had a fantastic first blitz of the year in Merville on Sunday morning. Thanks to Merville for hosting.
