The curtain comes down for the last time on ‘Curtains’

It has certainly been a roller coaster ride since we announced ‘Curtains’ back on May 30th and held our launch night on August 25th!
After three fun filled months of rehearsals and four spectacular performances, we reluctantly lowered the curtain……. wait a minute….. that’s way too corny and predictable…… we reluctantly brought our 40th musical ‘Curtains’ to a showstopping close on Saturday night.
Farewell to Lieutenant Cioffi, Carmen, Georgia, Bambi, Niki, Aaron, Bobby, Oscar, Johnny, Daryl, Sidney, Randy, Jessica and of course Bravo to the great director Christopher Belling!
You did it!!
It was an absolute pleasure to have all of you in town for the four nights along with such a talented ensemble!
We were so fortunate to have such an enthusiastic and gifted production team, committee, stage crew, tech team and orchestra, all ‘Show People’ working together to bring this production to life, not forgetting all our volunteers in catering, stewarding, front of house, make-up and hair, shop, programme and raffle sales.
Well done everybody!
And to our audiences who came out in such huge numbers to attend the show. You are the heartbeat of Boyle Musical Society. Your cheers, applause and presence each night, added the final layer of enchantment to our performances. We couldn’t have asked for more.
To all the local individuals and especially the businesses that sponsored our show, you are our life blood. We encourage everybody to love where they live and support all of them over the Christmas shopping season.
We will be thanking everybody in the near future.
‘Curtains’ will be ‘A Tough Act To Follow’ but as always, we get to dream it all up again and early in the new year, we will be looking at ideas for our next show!
